The 90-minute group session is delivered by specially trained physiotherapists.
They offer the opportunity for people who have been diagnosed with osteoarthritis of the knee to learn more about the condition and various ways which can help effectively manage the symptoms associated with it.
Groups currently offered in the Liskeard, Launceston and Lanivet areas.

Recently attended OAK group-session held at Wadebridge Sports Centre, 14/10/25. Found the session to be very informative and instructional.
The presentation was expertly given, easy to understand and although I have delved over tha past few years into Osteoarthritis of the Knee(s) the outcome being at times confusing and on occasions just plain contradictory ! This presentation laid to rest a lot of my doubts/questions etc. in a non bias way.
I shy away if possible from any medicinal aid in form of medicines, drugs etc. And in truth a total knee replacement and outcome frightens me along with the possible outcome even the possible risks arising from surgery..
At my age this would be a last shot at easing the problem only if all went well.
Now realising that this knee problem can be eased (not cured) by self actions such as specific exercises, diet and lifestyle change/adaption along with (if required) NHS and/or Private Physiotherapy sessions which can be accommodated at most Sports Centres, home enviroment and NHS or Private sessions by arrangement, in Cornwall and beyond.
This before even considering a knee replacement whether partial or total.
This session put a new perspective on Osteoarthritis and hopefully a clearer understanding of the path to follow from here on.
